Ah, Fall!! How I adore it. And out here in usually warm and sunny California we’re actually getting some rain and cooler weather, which is sprinkling hints of a true Fall here and there. When I had a little more time (like before my son was born), I used to make Hints of Fall baskets for my friends. It was a fun excuse to visit everyone and it helped me to not miss the Falls of my east coast/mid-west childhood as much.
I would carve small pumpkins with lattice designs, bag up homemade potpourri (full of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg of course), include some spiced tea and hot chocolate fixings, and always bake up some ginger snaps and mini loaves of pumpkin bread. There’s nothing like the smell of pumpkin bread wafting through your house on a crisp Fall day!
And memories of all of this came flooding back as I read Marianne’s post today over at SugarFoot Designs. Not only was she sweet enough to post a fabulous pumpkin bread recipe, but she also used one our free Halloween Printables to decorate her finished creation!
Ooo I’ll take a Hints of Fall basket 😉
